Finally Finalized!

This morning we went before a judge and finalized Taysia’s adoption. Finalization is the last formal step in the adoption process whereby an adoption is decreed to be permanent and binding by a judge, so you can understand that it was an important day for us. Yay!

Grateful

Today I am grateful for being infertile. If it were not for my infertility I would not be holding THIS beautiful sleeping little girl in my arms. We would not have been able to meet our courageous birth mom and would not have learned from her unselfish love. Scott and I wouldn’t be as close, as our relationship wouldn’t have grown as strong without the heartache and the joy. Today I am grateful.

She's Finally Here

We are so excited to announce that we have adopted a sweet baby girl! She was born on Tuesday, May 26th, at 7:46 am, 7 lbs 3 oz, 18 inches long. She’s just beautiful and healthy and we couldn’t ask for more. We don’t have a name for her yet but we’re working on it. Our birth mom invited me to be in the delivery room with her during the c-section (which was awesome, by the way!), and we have been at the hospital with our birthmom ever since, that’s why it has taken so long to make an announcement. The next few months will be a tough time for our birthmom, so we would appreciate you keeping her in your prayers also, if you feel so inclined. Thank you, everybody, for all your prayers and support and patience!

Full Circle

We had the opportunity today to go and see our friends have their little boy become a part of their forever family (his adoption was finalized last week). It was so sweet! Congratulations!
